Protected trademark

The Oeko-Tex® label is an internationally registered trademark, protected in law by the Madrid Agreement.

• Forgery and misuse of the trademark will be pursued under civil and criminal law.
  
  
• An Oeko-Tex® label is only valid if the test number awarded and the relevant test institute are displayed. It is also essential that these details correspond with those on the company's certificate.

This makes it possible for the International Oeko-Tex® Association to check at any time whether authorisation to use the label has been granted. This ability to clearly verify authorisation is one of the basic principles of the certification system and ensures confidence of the end user in the label.
